SIW01 Oldeberkoop               22/06 - 06/07     ENVI          20 vols
Work: The group will work in a nature reserve. Very special about this reserve are the wooden banks. Some of them are very old. They were used for keeping the cattle inside and the wild animals outside of the terrain. Also very striking are the small round lakes with a bank around them. Some of them arose during the latest Ice Age. Others were dug as a place to water the cattle. But the aspect that makes this nature reserve really special is the diversity of landscape. Forests, heath land areas, dunes and open areas are all part of this reserve. The group will help preserving this reserve by cutting trees and cleaning trails.
Accommodation: A group accommodation, self-catering.
Location: The nature reserve, called Bakkeveen, lies in the north of The Netherlands near the city of Heerenveen.
Terminal: Heerenveen (between 16 and 18 hour'

WORK:Work: The Dutch isles are some of the best parts of the Netherlands. With sea on one side and the other side sea or land, depending on the tide. Dunes in the north and fields in the south. You will help the Staatsbosbeheer, National Forest Service, with removing barbed wire and maybe you will also help with cleaning the beach. Besides this youíll cut small trees that are invasive on the Dutch isles. The braches and trees are then used to make a new ëdykí. By putting them on the ëwaddení sand will pile up behind it and a new dune is made behind it with salt-sweet water that houses an special eco system.    
Accommodation: A group accommodation with self catering.
Location: Ameland is one of the 7 Dutch islands in the north of the Netherlands. Between the islands and the mainland lies the Waddenzee. The tides decide whether the Waddenzee is an area of sea or of land.
Terminal: Nes (where the boat stops) on Ameland (train to Leeuwarden) (between 18 and 20 hour)
Special notes: In regard with a expensive accomodation (due to the tourist season and the popularity of the area) we ask a Ä45 local camp fee upon arrival.

WORK: Work: Drentsche Aa offers a various landscape of woods, heathland and meadows together with old villages. It is a perfect area to walk through so you can see the various landscapes. There is also a lot of water in the north of Drenthe. This part is called the stroomdallenlandschap which you can reach by bike approximately 30 minutes from Assen and Groningen. 
The participants will do different activities like; cutting, dredging, pilling up the paths and haymaking. 
Accommodation: volunteers are expected to bring their own tents. Minimal sanitary facilities: primitive
Location: Drentsche Aa, situated in the province of Drenthe.
Terminal: Assen, volunteers will be picked up in a old fashion way: with a tractor tram.

Work: National Park ëDe Groote Peelí offers a varied landscape of peat swamps, pools and open heath terrains. The swamp landscape came into being by the cutting of peat in the 19th century. The humid character of this area and the quietness makes it attractive for birds. The wooden bridges makes the swamp area more accessible and its nowadays possible to walk through this in 1993 established national park.
For already many years projects are organized at the Groote Peel. Volunteers will help out the National Forest Service by cutting and sawing little birches, pilling up the paths and making a special type of bridges which we call knuppelbruggen. Also other activities will be organized so volunteers will learn more like spending an afternoon in the nature and having a meal together with the people living at the village. 
Accommodation: A scouts building. Self catering.
Location: National Park ëde Groote Peelí: situated at both sides of the provinces Limburg and Brabant in The south of the Netherlands.
Terminal: Weert

SIW05   Nieuwkoopseplasse            05/07 - 19/07     ENVI          20  vols
WORK: Work: The work will mainly be removing trees and reed lands because these are changing the woods. Besides these 2 things also other work will be done like widen a ditch and haying. This work is dirty and heavy but very pleasant as well because it is very important to reserve the wetlands. Transport will be by boat and also the shopping will be done by boat.
Accommodation: Volunteers will sleep in a working place with primitive sanitary facilities.

SIW06     Vlietlanden                  19/07 - 02/08     ENVI          20  vols
Work: Wetland project in nature reserve De Vlietlanden is one of the last ëfloatingí meadowlands in the Netherlands, with many small canals. In cooperation with Natuurmonumenten, an association that devotes itself to the preservation of nature, the participants will make hay, fertilize the meadowlands and maintain the ditches.
Accommodation: A scouts building in Vlaardingen; self-catering
Location: Vlaardingen, a town near Rotterdam
Terminal: Vlaardingen-Oost (East)

SIW07     Weerribben                   02/08 - 16/08     ENVI          16  vols ML 16+
Work: Wetland project the nature reserve ëDe weerribbení is in cooperation with Staatsbosbeheer, the National Forest Service. The reserve is the most important swamp area of North Western Europe, and several stages in the development from open water to swamp forest can be seen in this vulnerable area. It is a typical Dutch area with lots of water and fields. To preserve this the participants will make hay in the wetlands.
Accommodation: In a farmhouse in the area; self catering
Location: Near Zwolle, in the Province of Overijssel
Terminal: Steenwijk. (between 16 and 18 hour)
Special notes: For people of 16+ until 18 years. In regard with renting 2 vans we have to ask volunteers for Ä150 local camp fee.

SIW08   Guisveld                  16/08 - 30/08     ENVI          25  vols    
Work: Wetland project in a typical Dutch nature reserve. With its abundance of water, surrounded by numerous small islands, it boasts a unique range of flora and fauna. In cooperation with Staatsbosbeheer, the National Forest Service, the participants will do a lot of hay making, to keep the soil in good condition. Since much of the area is very wet and soggy, this must be done manually.
Accommodation: tents next to an old farmhouse that can be used (except for sleeping); self-catering
Location: Westzaan is an area with many windmills, the area is known as the oldest (17th century) Dutch industrial area. It is close to cities like Amsterdam, Haarlem and Alkmaar.
Terminal: Wormerveer (between 16 and 18 hour)

SIW09  Leersum                        09/08 - 23/08     KIDS/SOCI     10  vols ML 21+
Work: There are approximately 140 children in the AZC in Leersum. In the summer holiday they are bored because there is no school and they are not going on holiday. Our participants will organize recreational and sports activities for and with refugee children and youngsters of 4-18 years old, during their summer holiday.
Accommodation:You will stay in the refugee center itself. Self-catering.
Location: In the refugee center in Leersum refugees are being offered a place to live and provided other necessities. Leersum is situated in the South-east of the province of Utrecht. 
Terminal: Driebergen- Zeist.
Special notes:21+ only. Volunteers motivated to work with refugees are welcome; please send a motivation letter to explain why you want to participate with your application!

SIW10 Emmaus                        28/06 - 18/07     SOCI          8 vols ML
Work: Emmaus Parkwijk is a part of the Groene Sticht. It is a living - work community which also accommodates people. All the people who are living at the Emmaus work at the second hand store which also includes recycling.
The volunteers will help out at the second hand store which includes for example  picking up second hand goods. Besides this will also work at the biological garden and they will organize a festival
Accommodation: Volunteers will sleep at an accommodation of Emmaus and the will eat together with the inhabitants of Emmaus.

SIW11 Ermelo                        30/08 - 13/09     MANU          10 vols
Work: The KNHS (Dutch Royal Sport Federation), situated in Ermelo is one of the biggest sport federations of the Netherlands. 8 disciplines of the horse riding sport are connected to the KNHS.
The volunteers will stay at the KNHS and they will renovate the materials which are used at competitions for example beams, they will also help with construction of the competitions and they will do some work in the garden.
Accommodation: You will stay in the hippique center itself.  There is a big cafeteria were you will eat together with employees during the day and with your group during the evening.
Location: Ermelo. It is situated in the center of the Netherlands in a natural area called ëde Veluwení.
Terminal: Ermelo (station)
Special notes: Volunteers should not expect to work with horses.
