LYVS 01 MOGILEV 11.07.– 31.07.08. Vols/10 foreign & 10 local ART
Work: Volunteers will participate in a camp which will acquaint young people from different countries with the national cultural heritage of Belarus. This camp will expose the children of the Mogilev Art School to the art of different countries. By working together with artists from around the world, the children will not only share & expand their own knowledge, but they will be helping disabled children and orphans. At the end of the camp, the young artists’ work will be given to meet the needs of disabled children. Volunteers will also be able to experience working in the traditional and manual Belarussian crafts personally. Different types of projects will be offered depending on the skills of the volunteers.
Location: Mogilev, one of the oldest and largest cities in Belarus, is located in the southeast region of the country. It has many ancient and beautiful sites and increasing areas of environmental protection.
Accomm.: Shared rooms in hostel. Volunteers will cook breakfast and dinner. Lunch is in a canteen.
Free time: Outings in Mogilev can include visits to the art gallery, theater and museums. Excursions to Minsk may also be arranged.

Please bring: Working clothes, creative ideas, art materials and sleeping bag.
Extra Info: Young painters and students studying at Art schools would be very welcome.

LYVS-02 KHATYN 29.06.- 12.07.08 Vols/10 foreign & 10 local HIST/RENO
Work: The camp is arranged by the League of Youth Voluntary Service and The municipality of Minsk in cooperation with the administration of Khatyn Memorial. This workcamp will take place on the grounds of Memorial devoted to the victims of the World War II. The memorial is placed on the territory of the former village which burned by Nazis during the war. Volunteers will help the stuff in the process of renovation of some monuments and also to help in some gardening works. Volunteers will work 8 hours a day.
Location: Khatyn is situated 50 km from Minsk next to a small town called Logoisk. This region of Belarus is famous for its picturesque landscape. http://khatyn.belta.by/khatyn.nsf
Accomm.: Shared rooms in hostel. Volunteers will cook breakfast and
dinner. Lunch is in a canteen.
Free time: Excursions to Minsk will be organized.
Please bring: Souvenirs from your home country to give to the children; games and songs, cultural things are highly appreciated. It will be useful if you bring along information on system of rehabilitation, and methods of work with disabled children in your country in order to make use of the information in the center.

LYVS 03 MIADEL 24.07- 14.08.08 Vols/10 foreign & 10 local ENVI
Work: The workcamp is organized in cooperation with the administration of children’s summer camp “ZUBRENOK”, one of the most famous camp in Belarus. Volunteers will be busy with cleaning and recreation of the territory of the camp and surroundings. Participants do not need any skills, but remember that the work will be physically demanding.
Location: Miadel region is famous for its picturesque lake “Naroch”, one of the biggest lakes in Belarus. It has many ancient and beautiful sites and increasing areas of environmental protection.
Accomm.: tents, showers and toilet are available on the territory of the camp.
Free time: Excursion to Minsk can include visits to the art gallery, theater and museums.
Please bring: Working clothes and information concerning methods of work on ecological instability in your own country.

LYVS 04 MINSK 02.07- 23.07.08 Vols/10 foreign & 10 local SOCIO/RENO
Work: The workcamp is organized in cooperation with the SOS Kinderdorf. Volunteers will be busy with cleaning and recreation of the territory of the village.
You will also busy with some renovation works. Volunteers will be responsible for organization of leisure time activities for children of different age.
Location: SOS kinderdorf is located in the suburbs of Minsk.
Accomm.: Volunteers will live in one of the houses of the village. All facilities will be provided.
Free time: Excursion to Minsk can include visits to the art gallery, theater and museums.
Please bring: Sleeping bags, mattresses, enthusiasm, good mood.
